Your Hosts - Debbie and Corey Boon

As your hosts, we offer a double heritage of hospitality. Debbie, who was born in Colliers, on Conception Bay, will welcome you with true outport Newfoundland hospitality. Corey, who is of Dutch heritage, will provide you with widely heralded Netherlands' style hospitality.

We have travelled widely and are ready to apply all that we have learned from our travels to make your stay memorable - all year round!

Our Pets

The Bumblebee Bed & Breakfast has two resident Standard Poodles who are excluded from our guest quarters. If you would like to meet them, we would be happy to introduce you to Whisper and Sebastian, who is informally named "Toot."

Our Gardens

We have a deeply felt appreciation for nature. The Bumblebee was chosen as the name and symbol for the bed and breakfast because this prolific and important pollinator is a welcome visitor to our flower beds and are always welcome in our gardens.

There are numerous stories about the Bumblebee with the most popular notion being that its mass, bodyweight and aerodynamics make it unsuitable for flight. This gentle wild bee needs our help by preserving its habitat and it, in turn, will help preserve our beautiful wild and garden flowers. Be on the lookout for the Bumble and enjoy their delightful flights.

Enjoy the bright Newfoundland sun and the fresh, clean air when out on our new deck that looks back to the forest. Perhaps a book to read from our library as you recline in a comfy garden chair. Watch out for moose though as they are known to travel through our yard. Soak up some warm Newfoundland sunshine and enjoy the summer breezes that accompany the clean ocean air. Relaxation doesn't get better than this!
