The Bumblebee's Treasure Chest is an on-site Gallery of fine wildlife wood sculpture and is proud to offer a unique selection of one-of-a-kind carvings. The wildlife wood sculptures are created by the owner of the Bumblebee Bed and Breakfast Corey Boon. Corey Boon is a multi-disciplined artist using various media to create lifelike sculptures of wildlife. Corey studied briefly at the Ontario College of Art and studied photography at the Winona School of Professional Photography in Fort Wayne , Indiana. His early art includes oil painting, water colours, pencil, pen & ink sketches and museum quality black and white landscape photographs. In 1991 Corey had an opportunity to study with World Champion Wildfowl Master-Carver Robert Ptashnik. Corey Boon's w ildlife sculptures are permanent works of art which add interest and value to many art collections. Carvings from his studio can be found in private and corporate collections in Canada, United States, England, The Netherlands, Brazil, Australia, Germany and Japan.

During the summer of 2010, our neighbouring community, Cupids, is celebrating its 400th anniversary, making it the oldest English Settlement in Canada. As a result, the whole region will be hosting major celebrations.

Their Royal Highnesses, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited Cupids on November 3rd in honour of the 400th Aniversary. Photo: Mr. Lloyd Kane, of the Cupids 400 Celebrations, presented the Royal Couple with a print of the Cupids Plantation in 1612 by local artist Hillery Cass from Bristol's Hope.
